I named this new blog "The Traveling Sanders" because for one reason or another we have done alot of traveling. When Debbie and I were first married we lived in Orlando, FL. Our next move would be to live in Liberty, KY and then on to Nicholasville, KY. We were there for about a year when we decided to move back to Florida and landed in Palm Coast, FL. It was at this time that I decided to join the Army. I was stationed in Fort Leonardwood, Missouri for basic training which lasted 8 weeks during the winter. Debbie and Brandon enjoyed the warmth of Palm Coast, FL in the meantime. After that wonderful experience I was stationed in Fort Gordon, GA for 13 weeks of specialized training in telecommunications. Debbie and Brandon stayed in Palm Coast, FL during this time as well. Soon we would be re-joined stationed in Kitzingen, Germany. We lived there for 3 years and during this time I spent 6 months living in tents and seahuts in Macedonia and Kosovo. On my way back to Germany I stayed overnight in Greece. We travelled as a family around Germany and visited Poland and Czechloslavakia. After our time in the military we once again returned to Florida and stayed for a while in Orlando, FL. Soon we moved to Maitland, FL. Finally we wanted to build a home and decided to move to Deltona, FL. We lived in that home 3 years when we sold it and built another home in Deltona, FL. Several years later we would move to Holly Springs, NC and stay there less than a year when employment opportunities would bring us back to Florida, but this time to the west coast where we purchased a new home in Port Charlotte, FL. We enjoyed that home for just over a year when again employment opportunities would have us make another move. This time we moved to Miami, FL where we now reside and are enjoying all the fun Miami offers in the things we enjoy doing as a family. We hope to be able to stay put for a while, but we have learned that you just never know what's around the corner that may take you on another adventure. For now we are here and we hope to once again make new friends and find new experiences to enjoy. We hope you enjoy our blog.
